Job summary

Piedmont Eastside Medical Center is seeking an RN Emergency Dept Flow Coordinator for the Night shift. The role supports flow in a 38-bed ED that handles approx. 160 patients daily and serves as a stroke/ STEMI receiving facility with thrombolytic capability. Sign‑on bonus up to $15K is available.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, and coordinating activities with ED staff to ensure timely, quality care. BLS, ACLS, PALS are required; NIH is preferred.

Qualifications

• Leadership, communication and initiative are essential for ED coordination.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment in fast‑paced settings.
• Experience working in Emergency Department environments advisable.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care from birth through lifecycle using nursing process.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in ED flow.
• Coordinate patient care activities with ED team and staff.
• Identify teaching opportunities for patients and families.
• Communicate issues to Charge Nurse, Clinical Manager or physician.
• Document care and concerns in patient records.
