Job summary

Intermountain Health’s Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, CO seeks an experienced Emergency Department Float Pool RN for a full-time role in a fast-paced ED. You’ll float to ED and other acute care areas as needed, delivering evidence-based care with collaboration across trauma teams and physicians.

Must have BSN, 1+ year RN experience, BLS, and be licensed/transferable to state practice. A 36-hour week with day/night shifts and a 10% float differential are offered.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice; compact license must transfer within 60 days.
• Minimum one year of RN experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers.
• BSN is required; degree will be verified.
• RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain BSN within four years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in fast-paced emergency care environments.
• Perform rapid patient assessments, prioritize care, and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Recognize and respond quickly to changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, technicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
• Adapt quickly to varying workflows, patient volumes, and acuity levels while maintaining quality and safety standards.
