Job summary

VEG is seeking New ER Doctors (NERD) to transform practicing veterinarians into confident VEG ER physicians. This six-month program blends academic and clinical training with individualized mentorship so graduates can transition to full-time ER doctors at VEG after completion.

The experience covers surgeries, endoscopy, exotics, and client-focused care in a state-of-the-art open concept hospital. During the program, participants receive competitive compensation and benefits, extensive CE

Qualifications

• A valid DVM, VMD, or equivalent degree.
• Be a practicing veterinarian for 1+ years.
• A valid license to practice veterinary medicine, as well as a valid DEA registration.
• Ability to stand for prolonged hours, kneel, and work on the floor; lift up to 25 kg.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis.
• Relocation for the program may be required.

Responsibilities

• Work side-by-side with VEG doctors through real ER cases with mentorship.
• Gain up-close ER experience across 3-4 hospital shifts per week and during weekly case discussions.
• Learn client-centered communication and the VEG Way.
