Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a CT Technologist I in Charlotte, NC to perform CT procedures and operate scanners with high proficiency. The role requires adherence to safety standards, proper patient preparation, and collaboration with radiologists and PAs.

You will handle IV contrast and ensure accurate documentation throughout the exam. The position involves shift rotations including nights or weekends, with on-site work at Atrium Health SouthPark ED, a facility of Carolinas Medical Center.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and advanced registry from the ARRT within one year of hire
• BLS required
• Experience with CT imaging protocols and patient safety

Responsibilities

• Examines requests and verifies orders before performing exams
• Identifies patients and explains procedures; prepares patients and documents everything
• Interviews patients for medical history and reviews EMRs for pertinent data
• Performs CT scanning and assists Radiologist/PA during invasive procedures
• Maintains equipment and adheres to radiation safety guidelines
• Rotates shifts and may be on call, weekends, or holidays
• Operates radiology computer systems and documents contrast administration
