Job summary

VEG is seeking a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician in Minnesota. You will work on the front lines of emergency care alongside doctors and teams, handling triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, and critical nursing care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in veterinary technology preferred.
• Credentialed veterinary technician (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT) in the practice state is required.
• 1+ years in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty experience preferred.
• Good computer skills and knowledge of EMR software.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, treatments and emotional support in emergencies.
• Assist with triage, diagnostics, anesthesia and monitoring.
• Support veterinarians and care teams during critical cases.
• Perform procedures such as IV lines and advanced patient care.
• Communicate effectively with team and caregivers to coordinate plans.
• Utilize advanced techniques and equipment as needed in emergencies.
• Participate in CPR and other life-saving interventions when required.
• Handle diagnostics and sample collection along with imaging tasks.
