Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) in Eden Prairie, MN seeks an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join a fast-paced ER team. You will perform triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, supporting doctors and pet parents through high-stress moments.

You will work on a diverse caseload, including exotic cases, and have opportunities for growth, mentorship, and advancement within a nationwide 24/7 ER network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred
• Credentialed as Veterinary Technician in the state VEG practice is located
• 1+ years of experience in veterinary technician role; emergency experience preferred
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with EMR
• Excellent communicator and calm under pressure
• Able to lift up to 25 kg and work in a noisy environment
• Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis

Responsibilities

• Treat every patient and person like they matter and stay by their side through tests and treatments
• Deliver nursing care, treatments, and emotional support in critical moments
• Provide meds, monitoring, and advanced care like IVs and transfusions
• Communicate as a teammate and help shape care plans
• Be ready to perform CPR and assist with RECOVER training
• Handle diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and tubes
• Assist anesthesia for fragile patients and use advanced techniques
• Utilize central lines, endoscopy, ultrasounds, and more
