Job summary

VEG is seeking a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line emergency team. You will handle a wide range of cases, from minor to critical, working with doctors to deliver gold-standard care.

You’ll be involved in triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, staying a steady, compassionate presence for pet parents in their most stressful moments.

Qualifications

• Credentialed veterinary technician in the VEG practice state.
• 1+ year experience in veterinary tech, emergency or specialty preferred.
• Able to stand long hours, lift up to 25 kg with assistance.
• Excellent communicator, calm under pressure.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and emotional support from triage to discharge.
• Assist with anesthesia, monitoring and critical care nursing.
• Handle diagnostics, imaging and sample collection.
• Communicate plans with the team and pet parents.
• Perform CPR and participate in emergency protocols.
