Job summary

VEG in Minnesota seeks a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our emergency team. You will engage in triage, treatment, diagnostics, anesthesia, and critical care nursing, delivering compassionate care for pets and their families.

You’ll work closely with doctors, manage emergencies, and grow skills through mentoring and ongoing ER training while supporting a high-volume hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; AVMA‑accredited vet tech degree preferred.
• Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the practice state.
• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty preferred.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of practice management software and EMR.
• Excellent communicator and calm under pressure; ready to lend a hand.
• Fine motor skills for handling patients and equipment; lift up to 25 kg.

Responsibilities

• Triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support from triage to discharge.
• Assist with meds, monitoring, and mastery—from IVs to transfusions.
• Communicate clearly with team and support plans for smooth care flow.
• Perform CPR when needed and use advanced techniques as required.
• Support diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and tube placement.
