Job summary

VEG is seeking a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our frontline emergency team where every second counts. You’ll handle diverse cases, assist doctors, perform triage, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, while offering compassionate support to pet parents during stressful moments.

Ideal candidates have AVMA-accredited education, CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT credentials, and 1+ year in emergency or specialty medicine.

Qualifications

• Empathetic and people-centric approach under pressure
• Strong communication skills and calm demeanor
• Ability to work in a fast-paced emergency setting
• Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 25 kg

Responsibilities

• Triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring in emergencies
• Provide nursing care and emotional support to pets and owners
• Collaborate with doctors to implement care plans
• Assist with IVs, CRIs, blood products and other interventions
• Perform diagnostic and imaging tasks as needed
• Maintain patient comfort and safety throughout care
