Job summary

VEG, a leading veterinary emergency company, seeks a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our rapid-response team. You will work on the front lines of emergency care, handling triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing while supporting pet parents in stressful moments.

You will collaborate with doctors and staff, perform advanced techniques, and grow your skills in a dynamic environment that values mentorship and learning

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or higher in veterinary tech preferred.
• Credentialed as a veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the practice state.
• 1+ years in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 25 kg and work in a noisy, odorful environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line emergency nursing, triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care.
• Deliver compassionate care and emotional support to pet parents during stressful moments.
• Perform CPR and utilize central lines, endoscopy, ultrasounds, and other advanced techniques.
• Collaborate with veterinarians and team to plan and execute care plans.
• Assist with CPR training and maintain high safety and quality standards.
• Handle patients and medical equipment with precision and care.
• Use diagnostics and imaging to aid in diagnoses and treatment.
• Maintain accurate medical records and patient monitoring throughout care.
