Job summary

MLK Community Healthcare seeks an experienced RN to supervise the Emergency Department unit on nights. The RN Clinical Unit Supervisor oversees staffing, patient care, and unit operations, reporting to the Nurse Manager and aligning with the Watson Model of Care and hospital goals.

This role requires a minimum of three years in Emergency Department nursing; charge nurse experience is preferred, with BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Spanish bilingual skills and EMR experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience in Emergency Department nursing.
• Charge nurse experience preferred; internal candidates considered at management’s discretion.
• Certification in Emergency Department Nursing preferred.
• Experience with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates positive interpersonal relationships as primary liaison to Medical Staff and personnel.
• Manages admission, transfer and discharge coordination with Care Management.
• Anticipates staffing needs and responds promptly.
• Delivers direct patient care when needed and ensures safe, cost-effective care.
• Maintains regulatory compliance and supports quality improvement.
