MLK Community Healthcare in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a RN Clinical Unit Supervisor for the Emergency Department. This role covers night shifts, oversees staffing and patient care, and reports to the Nurse Manager of ED/COA.

You will ensure a high standard of care, nurse advocacy, and alignment with hospital goals. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in ED nursing, charge nurse experience, and BLS/ACLS/PALS credentials; Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Three years of ED nursing experience, including regulatory guidelines and practice standards.
• Charge nurse experience preferred.
• Certification in Emergency Department Nursing preferred.

Responsabilités

• Liaise with Medical Staff and other personnel as the primary unit contact.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers and discharges with Care Management.
• Anticipate staffing needs and respond proactively.
• Set shift goals and ensure safe, compassionate, cost-efficient care.
• Assign beds based on patient condition, physician orders, and unit capacity.
• Assign and supervise staff to match skills, acuity, and language needs.
• Provide direct patient care when required.
• Maintain a safe, compliant environment and promote patient safety.
