Job summary

HCA Florida Poinciana Hospital invites an experienced Clinical Nurse Coordinator to lead the Emergency Department. This role ensures high-quality patient-centered care, coordinates nursing services across shifts, and partners with leadership to optimize throughput and outcomes.

You will guide staff, participate in scheduling and development, and support a patient-first approach within a busy ER environment. Florida RN licensure is required with onboarding within standard timeframes.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Florida
• RN Diploma required
• ACLS & BLS certifications obtained or within 30 days of start date
• NIH Stroke Scale within 90 days of employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 90 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 30 days of start date
• NICU/ER leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversees admission and discharge to ensure efficient throughput and quality patient care
• Directs nursing care and coordinates unit activities during the shift
• Collaborates with management to improve outcomes and staffing
• Supports patient-first philosophy and service recovery when needed
• Leads staff development, interviewing, scheduling and performance evaluations
• Manages inventory and supplies for the unit
