Job summary

HCA Florida Lehigh Hospital is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced ED. You will collaborate with physicians and the care team to advocate for patients and ensure alignment with hospital standards and patient outcomes.

The role emphasizes pain management, timely interventions, patient education, and proactive communication with patients and families, supporting the department's mission and values.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license required; compact license acceptable with FL license within 60 days.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred.
• Current BLS; ACLS; PALS/ENPC; NIHSS certifications due within 6 months.
• Experience in an acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly and promote effective pain management and reassessment.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or functions as ordered and document care in the EMR.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs to deliver exceptional care.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment plan, meds and follow-up.
• Educate on non-medicinal follow-up measures and prepare for self-management.
