CHS is seeking an ER Technician to provide essential support in the Emergency Department, assisting licensed nursing staff with patient care and maintaining a clean, well-stocked work area.

Responsibilities include direct patient care (splinting, IVs, EKGs, accuchecks), patient transport, EMR documentation, infection control, and effective communication with the care team. CNA/EMT/Phlebotomy training preferred; 0–1 year clinical experience required.

Qualifications

• Completion of Nursing Assistant, EMT, Phlebotomy, or Medical Assistant courses required.
• Certification preferred: CNA, EMT, Phlebotomy, or Medical Assistant.
• 0–1 year of clinical experience required.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct patient care in the ER including splinting, IV insertion, EKGs, and accuchecks under supervision.
• Assist with patient transport to/from units and discharge areas.
• Maintain a clean, organized department and restock supplies.
• Communicate with patients, families, and care team; report changes promptly.
• Document care in the EMR accurately and efficiently.
• Respond to emergencies and assist the care team to ensure patient safety.
• Follow PPE and safety protocols and support administrative duties as needed.
• Collaborate with ancillary services to facilitate patient care.
