Job summary

SignatureCare Emergency Center is seeking an ER Technician to assist nurses and doctors in the Emergency Department. This on-site role involves carrying out delegated patient-care tasks within the EMT scope, documenting in EMR, and supporting rapid response to patient needs.

Candidates must hold Texas EMT or Paramedic licensure with ER experience or CMA with hospital ER experience, plus BLS. Expect shift work and a focus on patient safety and communication.

Qualifications

• Texas EMT license with 2 years ER hospital experience
• Paramedic license with 2 years ER hospital experience
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with 2 years ER experience
• BLS certification
• Strong communication skills (oral and written)
• Flexible and service-oriented
• Ability to react calmly in emergencies
• Infection control standards compliance

Responsibilities

• Assist RN and Physician with patient care within EMT scope
• Document accurately in EMR and HIPAA compliant
• Stock departments/rooms daily
• Maintain ED cleanliness and organization
• Ensure chest pain patients receive an EKG within 10 minutes
• May work holidays and weekends
