Job summary

The Christ Hospital is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to support ED operations under RN supervision. The role emphasizes patient comfort, safety and accurate documentation in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum 3 years of direct patient care experience in hospital settings, High School Diploma or GED, and BLS certification are required. The EDT will assist with testing, vitals, hygiene, transport, and procedures as delegated by the RN.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; healthcare coursework preferred.
• Minimum 3+ years direct patient care in hospital or acute care setting.
• Certified in BLS; ability to perform diverse clinical tasks under RN supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care under RN delegation per Ohio guidelines.
• Monitor vitals, perform basic tests, and assist with procedures as directed.
• Document care accurately and report deviations to the RN promptly.
• Assist with patient hygiene, comfort, and safety in a fast-paced ED setting.
• Transport patients and support during examinations and treatments.
