Job summary

SignatureCare Emergency Center is seeking an Emergency Department Tech to assist the RN and Physician in delivering patient care in a fast-paced ED setting. The role involves supporting licensed staff, documenting care, and helping to maintain safety and infection control standards.

Ideal candidates hold an EMT or Paramedic license (or CMA) with ER experience, and possess strong communication and problem-solving skills to respond quickly in emergencies.

Qualifications

• Texas EMT license with 2 years ER experience.
• Texas Paramedic license with 2 years ER experience.
• Certification of MA with 2 years ER experience.
• BLS required; ACLS and PALS are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care as directed by RN/Physician.
• Carry out delegated tasks within EMT scope of practice.
• Document in EMR and HIPAA-compliant systems.
• Assist in stabilization and ongoing ED treatment.
• Stock departments/rooms daily.
• Ensure chest pain patients receive an EKG within 10 minutes of arrival.
• Maintain ED areas neat, organized, and clean.
• May work holidays and weekends as needed.
