Job summary

SignatureCare Emergency Center is seeking an ER Tech to assist RNs and physicians in a high-paced ED. The role involves performing delegated tasks within the EMT/Paramedic/CMA scope, documenting in EMR, and supporting patient care while ensuring privacy and HIPAA compliance.

You will help with specimen collection, patient rounds, and EKGs when needed, while maintaining a positive, service-oriented approach in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Texas EMT license with 2 years ER experience or Texas Paramedic license with 2 years ER experience or CMA with 2 years ER hospital experience.
• BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills, both in oral and written formats.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN and Physician with patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Carry out delegated tasks within EMT/Paramedic/CMA scope of practice.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation in EMR and logbooks.
• Assist with specimen collection, reporting critical values promptly.
• Help with stabilization and continuous treatment of ED patients.
• Keep ED areas clean, stocked, and organized; respond to requests quickly.
• Coordinate patient care activities with nurses and patients' families.
