Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME seeks an Advanced Clinical Technician to support the emergency department team. The role includes direct patient care under the supervision of an ED physician and/or RN, with emphasis on rapid assessment, stabilization, and advanced clinical interventions.

Applicants must have a High School Diploma, Parametric or EMT-Advanced certification, active state licensure, and BLS. ACLS/PALS and other certifications are required within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Paramedic or EMT-Advanced program.
• Current state licensure/certification as a Paramedic or EMT-Advanced.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• ACLS, PALS, PHTLS/ITLS within 6 months of hire.
• Maine PIFT Certification.
• TNCC audit within 1 year of hire.
• IV therapy and medication administration privileges as permitted by state.
• Minimum three years of recent experience as a prehospital provider required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under ED physician and/or RN supervision.
• Performs rapid assessment, stabilization, and treatment of emergent, urgent, and non-urgent conditions.
• Utilizes advanced clinical skills including IV access and medication administration.
