Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking an Advanced Clinical Technician for Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME. You will support the Emergency Department with direct patient care under supervision, focusing on rapid assessment, stabilization, and therapeutic interventions.

Requirements include a Paramedic/EMT-Advanced program, active licensure, BLS, ACLS/PALS/ITLS, and a minimum of three years of prehospital provider experience.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Complete accredited Paramedic or EMT-Advanced program.
• Current state licensure/certification as Paramedic or EMT-Advanced.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• ACLS, PALS, PHTLS/ITLS within 6 months of hire.
• Maine PIFT Certification required.
• TNCC audit within 1 year of hire.
• IV therapy and medication administration privileges as permitted by state.
• Minimum three years of recent prehospital provider experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under ED physician and/or RN supervision.
• Support rapid assessment, stabilization, and treatment of emergent/urgent cases.
• Perform advanced clinical skills including IV access and meds administration.

Overview

Responsibilities

The Advanced Clinical Technician functions as a critical member of the emergency care team, providing direct patient care under the supervision of an Emergency Department physician and/or Registered Nurse. This role supports rapid assessment, stabilization, and treatment of patients presenting with emergent, urgent, and non-urgent conditions. The ACT performs advanced clinical skills including IV access, medication administration, and therapeutic interventionsin accordance withhospital policies, medical staff bylaws, and physician orders.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. High School Diploma or equivalent

2. Completion of an accredited Paramedic or EMT-Advanced (EMT-A) program

3. Current state licensure/certification as a Paramedic or EMT-Advanced

4. Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current

5. ACLS, PALS, PHTLS/ITLS within 6 months of hire

6. Maine PIFT Certification

7. TNCC audit within 1 year of hire

8. IV therapy and medication administration privileges aspermittedby state

9. Minimum three years of recent experience as a prehospital providerrequired

Pay Transparency

Central Maine Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $23.75 to $32.03. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
