Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME, seeks an Advanced Clinical Technician to support the Emergency Department under the supervision of a physician and/or RN. The role focuses on rapid assessment, stabilization, and delivering direct patient care in emergent, urgent, and non-urgent cases.

The ideal candidate has EMT-Paramedic credentials, current BLS and other certifications (ACLS, PALS, ITLS), and a minimum of three years prehospital experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Paramedic or EMT-Advanced program.
• Current state licensure/certification as Paramedic or EMT-Advanced.
• BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• ACLS, PALS, PHTLS/ITLS within 6 months of hire.
• Maine PIFT Certification.
• TNCC audit within 1 year of hire.
• IV therapy and medication administration privileges as permitted by state.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision in the ED.
• Support rapid assessment, stabilization, and treatment of emergent, urgent, and non-urgent conditions.
• Perform advanced clinical skills including IV access, medication administration, and interventions.
