Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME, seeks a part-time Emergency Department Technician to assist with basic patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.

The role requires a high school diploma, EMT or CNA certification, BLS within 30 days, and familiarity with medical terminology; prior acute care experience is preferred. Hours are days with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current EMT Certification or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), if required by the State
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living under RN supervision.
• Provide basic nursing care to non-critical patients.
• Maintain a safe environment in the ED.
