Fresno City College invites applications for part‑time Spanish instructors to support our diverse student body. instructors will teach a variable schedule and use diverse pedagogies including online and hybrid formats.

The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to equity, and meet one of the minimum qualifications including a Master’s in Spanish or equivalent credentials. Start dates may vary and positions are filled from an applicant pool.

Qualifications

• Petition for equivalency if degrees do not match exactly

Responsibilities

• Teaching a part-time schedule of Spanish courses as assigned;
• Using a variety of pedagogies including technology for face-to-face, online, and/or hybrid formats;
• Communicating effectively with students, faculty and staff;
• Using approved curriculum outlines of record;
• Evaluating student progress through tests and assignments;
• Providing course syllabi to students;
• Maintaining classroom records per District Policy;
• Submitting timely grading and evaluation reports;
• Teaching in various instructional settings and times;
• Fulfilling duties as required by Administrative Regulation 7122;
• Other duties as assigned.

Education

Master’s in Spanish

Bachelor’s in Spanish and Master’s in another language or linguistics

California Community College Credential

Equivalent education and/or experience
