Position Scope

The Heavy Equipment Operator must be able to operate skid steer, loader, dozer, crusher, or excavator according to project specifications. The individual will be responsible for servicing and maintaining equipment daily. This position requires travel.

Primary Duties

• Operate equipment efficiently to maintain production goals.
• Assist with setup and tear down of plants.
• Perform general maintenance, repair, and service equipment as required or directed by supervisor.
• Maintain general housekeeping of equipment and plants daily or as directed.
• Be able to lift objects weighing 80 lb. regularly.
• Use a shovel to move material as necessary.
• Perform all duties within safety guidelines set by MSHA and company policy.
• Conduct pre-shift inspections on equipment prior to startup.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to operate equipment efficiently to meet project specifications.
• Mechanical knowledge of equipment and routine maintenance skills.
• Basic knowledge of welding and cutting torch use.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in accordance with company policy.
• Willingness to obtain MSHA part 46 and/or part 48 certification; company will pay for training.
• Ability to work under various adverse weather conditions.
• Pass pre-employment drug test.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Willingness to travel.
