Job summary

Swain Resort is seeking an Equipment Technician in the Rentals Department to fit, adjust, and maintain ski and snowboard rental gear for guests, ensuring safe and properly functioning equipment.

The role involves greeting guests, adjusting bindings and boots, inspecting equipment, and coordinating with the Rentals Supervisor to address repairs and inventory. Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in ski or snowboard rentals or equipment repair preferred but not required.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn ski/snowboard binding adjustment and repair techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to guest safety.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and available to work weekends, holidays, and peak resort periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner and assist with properly fitting rental ski and snowboard equipment.
• Adjust bindings, boots, and gear to meet manufacturer safety standards and guest needs.
• Inspect, clean, and maintain rental equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
• Receive returned equipment, inspect for damage, and store appropriately.
• Monitor rental equipment inventory and communicate repair or replacement needs to the Rentals Supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the rental area and technician workspace.
• Provide a safe and efficient rental experience for guests while supporting the Rentals team.
• Assist with other Rentals Department tasks as needed during busy periods.
