Job summary

Cmr-Ops in Washington is hiring for a Seasonal Rental & Repair Shop position. You will set up, clean, repair, wax, and maintain equipment in the Rental Shop and assist guests with equipment needs.

The role requires training participation, safety compliance, and merchandising of resort products. You will instruct guests on operation and fit, and work with other departments to maintain a safe, friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to ski or snowboard.
• Basic computer and communication skills.
• Reliable transportation and ability to work evenings/weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Set up, clean, repair, wax, and maintain equipment in the Rental Shop.
• Instruct guests on operation and fit of equipment.
• Assist with merchandising and selling resort products and services.
• Participate in staff training and enforce safety protocols.

Supervisor: Rental & Repair Shop Supervisor

Department: Rental & Repair Shop

Type: Fall-End of Season / Seasonal

Position Overview: Set up, clean, repair and maintain equipment in department.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Essential Job Functions:

• Set up, clean, repair, wax, and maintain any and all types of equipment in the Rental Shop.
• Actively participate in Rental & Repair Shop training.
• Ensure all annual binding manufacturer indemnification is complete and on file in season.
• Market and sell Resort merchandise and services in the Rental & Repair Shop.
• Instruct guests on equipment operation and fit, adjust, and repair rental equipment.
• Ensure safety protocols are in place and followed by staff.
• Perform the job and get along with others.
• Work together with all departments to build a positive working environment.
• Maintain cleanliness/care of department facilities, resort property, and equipment.
• Thorough knowledge of Resort product offerings and run locations.
• Exercise judgment in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Perform the job and get along with others.
• Work together with all departments to build a positive working environment.
• Show up to work on time, consistent attendance, and dependable.

Environmental Factors:

• Face-to-face interactions with the general public.
• Walking, bending, rotating, and standing constantly.
• Exposure to extremely hot waxes and equipment.
• Repetitive use of hands, arms, shoulders, back, and legs frequently.
• Manual dexterity and fitness to work with hand tools continuously.
• Lifting to waist level of 50 lbs. often, above shoulder lifting and / or carrying of up to 20 lbs. frequently, lifting of items weighing 40 lbs. or more continuously.
• Exposure to possible hazards associated with machinery and tools.
• Sight and hearing of acceptable standards for Essential Job Functions.
• The working environment may be stressful when meeting public demands and staffing needs.

• Successful completion and passing all binding technician exams well in advance of start of Winter operations.
