Job summary

Johnson Controls in the United States is seeking an Equipment Systems Application Engineer to support the construction sales team by assisting with pre and post sales activities on building systems and equipment project opportunities. You'll perform system configuration validation, equipment selection for basis of design, and assist with bidding, proposals, and submittals.

You will help manage project scope, schedule, and profitability while coordinating with sales, customers, and subcontractors

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• US citizen or Permanent Resident; no sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and limited estimating for project design.
• Assist in developing customer business cases for conceptual solutions.
• Support detailed estimating and bid preparation with sales.
• Prepare proposals, quotes, and RFIs for assigned projects.
• Interpret drawings and develop equipment submittals compliant with specs.
• Coordinate with branch and customers to align schedule and scope.
• Manage project P&L and customer satisfaction on assigned projects.
• Communicate project progress and financial status to management.
