Job summary

Johnson Controls in Indianapolis is seeking an Equipment Systems Application Engineer to support building systems and equipment projects across pre-sales and post-sales phases. You will provide technical and engineering support, assist with equipment selection, design validation, and bid pricing.

You will manage projects from order release through startup, coordinate with stakeholders, ensure profitability, and deliver successful outcomes while maintaining customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Teams and Windows OS.
• Experience with Nitro PDF or equivalent software.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical application support, equipment selection, and estimating assistance for project opportunities.
• Manage equipment projects from order release through startup and project closeout.
• Coordinate with customers, consultants, and internal teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Review contract documents, drawings, and specifications for engineered submittals.
• Support startup activities and resolve delivery or scope-related issues.
