Job summary

Thompson Tractor is seeking a Shop Technician to perform minor repairs, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting on Thompson Rents equipment, including engines, hydraulics, transmissions, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities include disassembly/reassembly, tests, and timely parts ordering. A valid driver's license is required; CDL Class A and Med Card preferred. OSHA and MSHA training are expected, with safety at the forefront of daily operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of mechanical repairs or related experience or equivalent technical education.
• MVR required; CDL Class A and Med Card preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor repairs, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting on Thompson Rents equipment.
• Disassemble and reassemble components, and adjust for optimal performance.
• Order and return parts for assigned jobs in a timely manner; test and adjust components.
• Work independently in the shop and adhere to safety standards.
