Job summary

LG Energy Solution Michigan, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Engineer II to support manufacturing equipment reliability, efficiency, and productivity through performance analysis, troubleshooting, controls improvements, and the introduction of new technology.

You will evaluate downtime and OEE, develop and validate technical improvements including PLC modifications and line redesigns, and share knowledge with fellow engineers and production teams on-site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 3–6+ years of equipment engineering, maintenance engineering, or manufacturing experience.
• Experience analyzing downtime data, troubleshooting equipment issues, and implementing corrective actions.
• Experience installing, modifying, or improving industrial equipment and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Analyze equipment performance and OEE, identify recurring losses and report findings.
• Develop and implement improvements, including PLC modifications and line redesigns.
• Support installation, commissioning and verification of new equipment technology.
• Investigate failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain required technical documentation and participate in training.
• Ensure compliance with safety, PPE, and 5S standards.
