Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Houston, Texas is hiring a permanent Equipment Quality Coordinator to join our logistics team. The position offers a first shift from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with weekly pay and CDL preferred or able to obtain.

Responsibilities include moving and inspecting equipment, coordinating with Ryder shops, and ensuring units are ready for delivery. The role requires basic mechanical knowledge, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year mechanical or customer service experience.
• Knowledge of truck and trailer equipment.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet Ryder’s driving qualifications.
• CDL preferred or ability to obtain CDL.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be able to drive Ryder vehicles and pass required checks.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks/tractors to ensure road worthiness.
• Prepare units for delivery or transport from the UTC.
• Move equipment around the yard to stay organized.
• Perform light mechanical tasks and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with Ryder shops or third-party service providers.
• Ensure equipment is clean and presentable.
• Submit weekly equipment exercise data via Teams.
