Job summary

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions in Bolingbrook, IL is seeking a Permanent Equipment Quality Coordinator to ensure equipment readiness and quality. The role involves hands-on truck/ trailer checks, yard management, and coordinating with service providers to keep units road-ready.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and 1+ years in mechanical or customer service roles, valid driver’s license (CDL preferred), and strong communication skills. On-site role with training and benefits provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year or more mechanical and/or customer service experience.
• Knowledge of truck and trailer equipment; advanced knowledge preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license and ability to meet Ryder's driving qualifications.
• CDL preferred or ability to obtain CDL.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong customer focus and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Organized with strong multi-tasking abilities.
• Light computer skills—tablet use and e-mail.

Responsibilities

• Exercise trucks/tractors to assure equipment is road worthy and ready for sale.
• Guarantee that customer units are ready for delivery or transport from the UTC without issues.
• Transport equipment around the yard keeping it orderly and presentable.
• Perform light mechanical work such as jump starts, battery installation, fluid management while troubleshooting issues.
• Coordinate and communicate with local Ryder shops or 3rd party service providers for repairs.
• Ensure equipment is clean and presentable.
• Submit weekly equipment exercise data via Teams.
• Special Projects as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
