Job summary

Ryder in Bolingbrook, Illinois is hiring a Permanent Equipment Quality Coordinator at $20 per hour. The position includes on-the-job paid training, medical/dental/vision coverage, 401(k) with company match, and paid time off starting Day One.

You will inspect, coordinate and ensure equipment readiness while complying with Ryder standards. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 1+ year mechanical or customer service experience, and valid driver’s license (CDL preferred).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year mechanical or customer service experience required.
• Knowledge of truck and trailer equipment is required (advanced).

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks/tractors to ensure road readiness of equipment.
• Coordinate with local Ryder shops or third party service providers for repairs.
• Ensure units are clean, organized and ready for delivery or transport.
• Perform light mechanical work such as battery installs, fluid checks and routine troubleshooting.
• Submit weekly equipment exercise data via Teams.
