Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts and Kendall Vegetation Services is seeking an Equipment Operator in Sweetwater, TN. The role involves operating heavy equipment to remove branches and material from electrical lines, while adhering to strict safety standards and company policies.

Responsibilities include equipment prep, maintenance, assisting crew members, and some travel for storm restoration work. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with a valid driver’s license and the ability to work outdoors

Qualifications

• Must have physical strength and good balance to climb into and around heavy equipment.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License; CDL and DOT Medical Card may be required for trucking.
• Ability to read and understand written and verbal job instructions; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment to remove branches and tree material from electrical lines.
• Follow safety rules and enforce safety practices on site.
• Assist in equipment preparation, maintenance, and repair as directed by Foreperson.
• Lead and assist crew members; manage storm restoration assignments as needed.
• Travel for storm work and report mileage to Foreperson.
