Job summary

Cable Services Group is seeking a skilled equipment operator to support the construction and upgrade of underground utilities across various sites in Ohio. You will load, transport, and operate hydraulic excavators and related gear to place conduits and bore paths, while keeping tight adherence to blueprints and safety standards.

The role requires reading prints, managing utility depths, and collaborating with crews in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering/construction prints and specs.
• Experience with underground utility installations and depths.
• Willingness to travel for projects as needed.
• Ability to work in varying weather and noisy environments.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload equipment securely.
• Transport tools and materials safely.
• Inspect equipment daily before use.
• Operate equipment to place underground utilities.
• Locate existing utilities per blueprints.
• Connect/stub conduit and wire as required.
• Dig pits/trenches; manage bore paths.
• Restore disturbed areas; landscape as needed.
• Complete timesheets, logs, and expense reports.
• Follow safety policies and perform tasks safely.
