Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals in Salisbury, NC is seeking a Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a diverse fleet, prioritizing safety and minimizing downtime.

You will service equipment including Aerial Work Platforms, pumps and generators, with opportunities for skill growth and on-the-job training. A 3–5 year background in diesel/heavy equipment and a high school diploma or GED are typical requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training preferred.
• 3–5 years of mechanic experience with diesel or heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems & troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of electrical systems & troubleshooting skills.
• Bilingual ability may be required based on location needs

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on equipment to avoid downtime.
• Work with a variety of makes, models and equipment, primarily aerial work platforms, pumps, HVAC and generators.
• Adhere to safety policies and maintain quality workmanship.
• Assist with while training and mentoring other team members as needed
