Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals seeks a Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment across our fleet, including aerial work platforms, pumps, HVAC and other construction gear. You will join a safety-focused team and develop skills toward service or operation management.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, 3–5 years of mechanic experience with diesel or heavy equipment, and familiarity with hydraulic and electrical systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 3 to 5 years of mechanic experience with similar diesel equipment and/or heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment strongly preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems & troubleshooting skills; advanced knowledge of electrical systems & troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on equipment in a safe, efficient manner.
• Work on equipment including Aerial Work Platforms, pumps, HVAC or oil/gas related equipment as fleet scope varies by location.
• Be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment and support a safety-focused culture.
