Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is looking for someone to join our Process Engineering team in Manufacturing Operations as an Equipment Maintenance Technician I in West Lafayette, Indiana.
Must be willing and able to travel during the first 4-6 months of employment for training, totaling approximately 8-12 weeks in two-week increments.
As an Equipment Maintenance Technician I you’ll be responsible for independently performing preventative maintenance of basic complexity on manufacturing equipment, as well as working under the guidance of Supervisor and Tech IIs and IIIs to complete tasks as needed.
Process Engineering and Maintenance teams focus on optimizing manufacturing performance by improving equipment reliability, reducing unplanned downtime, and increasing operational efficiency. Working closely with engineers, technicians, and operators, they support process improvement, root cause analysis, and preventive and predictive maintenance initiatives that help Manufacturing Operations make informed decisions and solve problems proactively.
SEL designs, manufactures, and supports products and systems that protect, monitor, control, and automate electric power systems. Our technologies help detect faults, prevent equipment damage, and reduce the impact of power outages. Our mission is to make electric power safer, more reliable, and more economical. Pay Range: $35.38 – $51.10 per hour (plus $5.00/hr 2nd shift differential)
Equipment Maintenance Technician I: $35.38 – $51.10 per hour
Equipment Maintenance Technician II: $38.33 – $55.44 per hour
Equipment Maintenance Technician III: $43.00 – $62.35 per hour
