Job summary

Strata Clean Energy is seeking an Equipment Coordinator in Durham, NC to manage the scheduling, maintenance, and repair of our equipment. You will coordinate distribution across the network, track hundreds of assets, and guide decisions on using owned vs rental gear to maximize efficiency.

You will liaise with vendors and technicians, monitor fuel use and expenses, and ensure OSHA safety standards and operator certifications are kept up to date. Strong organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• 1–3 years fleet, equipment, or asset management experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Experience with fleet management software, telematics platforms, or asset tracking systems preferred.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate equipment distribution with just-in-time delivery and utilization.
• Maintain tracking of hundreds of assets across departments with detail.
• Recommend use of company-owned vs rental equipment based on project timelines and cost.
• Liaise with vendors, parts suppliers, and repair technicians to expedite repairs and manage warranties.
• Track and report fuel consumption and equipment operating expenses.
• Use telematics and GPS to monitor utilization and generate improvement reports.
• Coordinate scheduled maintenance and unscheduled repairs.
• Audit equipment inventory and operator lists.
