Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation in Jefferson City, TN is seeking a production assembler to safely assemble equipment by following detailed instructions from Supervisors and Group Leaders. Work involves mechanical, electrical, and manual tools across varying products.

You will perform duties like assembling parts, installing accessories, operating cranes, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace in line with 6S standards. Overtime and on-site attendance are required.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to work overtime, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance on-site.
• 6+ months of experience in manufacturing or general labor.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulics on JLG/Jerr-Dan products using power tools and manual techniques.
• Install product accessories such as decals, mud flaps, cameras, and lights.
• Safely operate an overhead crane to position parts.
• Use hand and pneumatic tools with accuracy.
• Measure accurately using tape measures.
• Drill and tap holes for wires, hoses, and small components.
• Identify required options from schematics, blueprints, and Standard Work Instructions.
• Lift and stack subassemblies and parts (up to 35 lbs solo; team lift up to 60 lbs).
• Crosstrain and work in multiple assembly areas as needed.
• Follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
• Maintain attention to detail to meet quality standards.
• Keep a clean, safe work area in compliance with safety rules and 6S standards.
