Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation, a global manufacturer, seeks an assembler to safely construct equipment by following detailed supervisor instructions across diverse products. You will assemble components with power and manual tools, install accessories, and position parts using an overhead crane.

In this role, you will measure precisely, drill and tap holes, and identify options from schematics and standard work instructions.

Qualifications

• Overtime may be required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet production demands.
• Regular and reliable attendance, on-site and in-person.
• 6+ months of experience in the manufacturing or general labor industry.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulics on JLG/Jerr-Dan products using power tools and manual techniques.
• Install product accessories such as decals, mud flaps, cameras, and lights.
• Safely operate an overhead crane to position parts.
• Use hand and pneumatic tools with accuracy (e.g., wrenches, hammers, torque guns).
• Measure accurately with tape measures and other tools.
• Drill and tap holes for wires, hoses, and small components.
• Identify required options from schematics, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Lift and stack subassemblies and parts (up to 35 lbs solo; team lift up to 60 lbs).
• Cross-train and work in multiple assembly areas as needed.
• Follow written and verbal instructions precisely and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
