Job summary

Summa Health is seeking an experienced Epilepsy Specialist to join the Summa Health Neurosciences Institute in Akron, Ohio. This role focuses on complex epilepsy care within a forward-thinking program that emphasizes technology, diagnostics, and surgical options.

The position integrates clinic and inpatient/EMU practice, with collaboration across neurology, neurocritical care, stroke, and pediatric/surgical partners. An academic appointment with NEOMED may be available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Board certified or board eligible in neurology
• Completion of an epilepsy fellowship
• Interest in complex epilepsy management and advanced care
• Current Ohio medical license or ability to obtain one
• Willingness to participate in teaching and education
• Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
• Interest in clinical innovation and technology in epilepsy treatment

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive epilepsy care in clinic and inpatient/EMU settings
• Collaborate with neurology, neurosurgery, and related services
• Engage in education, lectures and resident development
• Contribute to research and program development
• Participate in regional epilepsy care pathways and transitions
