Summa Health in Akron, OH is seeking an experienced Epilepsy Specialist to join the Summa Health Neurosciences Institute. This role offers a unique opportunity to advance a comprehensive epilepsy program within a technology-forward health system, with potential academic ties to NEOMED and collaborative care with neurosurgical partners.
The position supports complex epilepsy care, leveraging an in-house neurophysiology lab, EMR, and integrated neuroscience services.
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology.
- Completion of an Epilepsy fellowship.
- Preference for an experienced epilepsy physician with interest in complex epilepsy management.
- Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in Ohio or ability to obtain.
- Interest in teaching, lectures and resident education.
- Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered, team-based care.
- Interest in clinical innovation and advancement of epilepsy treatment.
Responsibilities
- Provide 100% epilepsy care in clinic and inpatient/EMU settings.
- Collaborate with neurosurgical partners on epilepsy surgery and related care pathways.
- Engage in academic activities and potential teaching with NEOMED.
- Utilize the neurology laboratory, EMR, and hospital resources to optimize patient outcomes.
