Job summary

Summa Health is seeking an experienced Epilepsy Specialist to join the Summa Health Neurosciences Institute in Akron, Ohio. The role focuses on complex epilepsy care within a technology-forward health system and offers collaborative care across neurology, neurocritical care, and stroke services.

The position supports research, education, and a potential academic appointment with NEOMED, with a comprehensive benefits package and relocation support available.

Qualifications

• Board certification/eligibility in Neurology.
• Completion of an Epilepsy fellowship.
• Interest in complex epilepsy management and advanced epilepsy care.
• Ohio medical license or ability to obtain license.
• Interest in teaching and resident education.
• Commitment to patient-centered, team-based care.
• Interest in clinical innovation and technology in epilepsy treatment.

Responsibilities

• Practice 100% epilepsy with a fully staffed neurophysiology laboratory.
• Mix of clinic and inpatient/EMU settings.
• Collaborate with neurosurgical partners on epilepsy surgery.
• Engage in research, innovation and medical education.
• Academic appointment with NEOMED available to qualified candidates.
