Job summary

Summa Health is seeking an experienced Epilepsy Specialist to join the Summa Health Neurosciences Institute in Akron, Ohio. The role focuses on a comprehensive epilepsy program with access to advanced diagnostics and potential surgical interventions within a technology-driven health system.

The position offers opportunities for collaboration across neurology, neurocritical care, neurohospitalist and stroke services, with potential academic involvement at NEOMED and strong support for research,

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology
• Completion of an Epilepsy fellowship
• Preference for an experienced epilepsy physician with a focus on complex epilepsy management and/or advanced epilepsy care
• Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in Ohio or ability to obtain an Ohio medical license
• Interest in teaching, lectures and resident education
• Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered, team-based care
• Interest in clinical innovation and advancement of epilepsy treatment

Responsibilities

• Mix of clinic and inpatient/EMU setting.
• 100% epilepsy practice with a fully staffed neurophysiology laboratory.
• Epic EMR system used for patient documentation and care coordination
