Job summary

Shriners Children’s is seeking a Principal Trainer to lead Epic training programs across deployments and upgrades. You will develop curriculum, train end-users, and ensure readiness for go-lives.

Travel may be required; Epic certifications and adult-education experience are preferred. Strong presentation skills and collaboration with IT and clinical teams are essential for success in this remote role within the United States.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience and knowledge of physician/hospital workflows
• 3 years of experience developing and conducting training in an adult education environment
• 2 years of experience with EMR or enterprise software implementations; specifically with the training of staff.
• Strong understanding of Adult Learning Theory and experience incorporating into stand-up adult classroom training.
• Epic certifications in one or more Epic applications required or achieve certification within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains Epic course curriculum along with all training materials for the respective Epic application during implementations and upgrades.
• Trains Super Users who will support end-users in classroom trainings and on-site and lead training efforts stemming from software upgrades and updates.
• Coordinates with system analysts to ensure training aligns with end-user roles and upcoming software updates.
• Conducts credentialed training programs and monitors adherence to curriculum and knowledge of workflows.
• Provides on-the-floor rounding during downtime and serves as liaison between end-user and IT/Epic teams.
