Job summary

Shriners Children’s is seeking a Principal Trainer (Epic) to develop and maintain training materials, curriculum, and workflows for Epic applications. You will collaborate with Training Manager and analysts to deliver high-quality end-user training and onsite coaching across facilities.

You will demonstrate strong presentation skills, certify in Epic modules, and support go-lives with on-floor rounding and post-implementation training. Travel for classes and non-standard hours are expected.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience and knowledge of physician/hospital workflows.
• 3 years of experience developing and conducting training in an adult education environment.
• 2 years of experience with EMR or enterprise software implementations; specifically with the training of staff.
• Strong understanding of Adult Learning Theory and experience incorporating into stand-up adult classroom training.
• Epic certifications in one or more Epic applications required or achieve certification within 180 days.
• Highly proficient with MS Office Suite and web browsers.
• High School Diploma/GED Bachelor's degree in related field (3 years of equivalent clinical or IS experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree)

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains Epic course curriculum along with all training materials for the respective Epic application during implementations and upgrades.
• Builds, tests, and maintains the training environment.
• Coordinat(es) closely with system analysts to develop proper training for end-users across roles.
• Trains Super Users who will support end-users in classroom trainings and on-site.
• Gathers information to understand a problem and educates the user on how to accomplish the task.
