Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital is seeking a Patient Access Representative in the Emergency Department to deliver an exceptional experience to patients, families and visitors from registration through discharge. Training includes EPIC, with on-site sessions and the potential to float to Mentor Hospital as needed.

Responsibilities include registration, insurance eligibility, collecting co-payments, self-screening, scheduling, and cross-training to front desk, admitting, ED, and cash register;

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer facing role or healthcare environment.
• Ability to use multiple data systems.
• Healthcare terminology knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and collect demographics, insurance, and co-payments.
• Cross-train to staff all areas of patient access (front desk, admitting, ED, cash register).
• Serve as a Super User and assist in training new caregivers.
• Provide registration and cash collection access in Epic.
