Ochsner Health is seeking an experienced scheduling professional to manage surgery scheduling using Epic Optime and hospital workflows. The role requires coordinating with surgeons, cases, and staff while ensuring accurate documentation and billing alignment.

The ideal candidate will have a formal medical assistant program and at least five years of scheduling/clinical experience, with strong communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Competenze

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Completion of a formal medical assistant training program.
Minimum 5 years of scheduling and clinical experience.

Mansioni

Schedules patients using Epic Optime and community hospital workflows.
Supports provider/physician during the patient encounter and completes necessary documentation.
Assists in the daily operation of the department.
Trains and educates scheduling staff and other medical assistants.
Provides excellent customer service by returning and documenting patient calls.
Maintains knowledge of surgeon blocks and schedules patients based on surgeon, case length, and day of week.
Adapts to changes and participates in professional development.
